In today’s Covid world, there are a lot of people looking for a Life Coach to help them solve a myriad of problems.  In response, there are many people who are becoming life coaches, even though they do not have the experience or credentials to really take care of their clients and provide them with good, solid guidance.

If you are looking for a Life Coach, it pays to know what you are looking for and what you want that person to be capable of doing.  That’s why I offer a FREE introductory session so that we can get acquainted and determine if we are a good fit, both from a personality perspective and a skills perspective.

In general, a good Life Coach will help you in three major areas:

  1. Becoming aware of where you are.  Your life journey starts where you are right now, but until you get absolute clarity on where you are in all aspects of your life, it is impossible to plot a course to a new destination.  Think about this for a minute — the GPS in your car can’t take you where you want to go until it knows where you are.  Your life is no different.
  2. Deciding where you want to go.  Once you know where you are, a good life coach will guide you through a process to decide where you want to go.  He will help you look into the future and create a vision for the future you want to achieve and enjoy.
  3. Start working toward your destination.  When you know where you and and where you want to go, it becomes fairly straightforward to see the gaps that must be closed in order for you to move toward the future you desire.  A good life coach will help you craft a plan and will walk along side you as you execute your plan and monitor your progress.

Finally, a good life coach will be a source of encouragement for you.  You may have given up hope and believe that things can never be different for you.  That is absolutely not true.  It is true that you can’t change to past, but you do have the power to change the future.  Making the right choices today will radically alter the shape of tomorrow.
