We are all familiar with the old adage that tells us, “Life is not a dress rehearsal”. But how many of us have taken the time to deeply ponder these simple words and discover the true meaning that lies within? And how many of us have then taken these words of wisdom to heart and done something about it?
These words are an admonition that we get only one shot at life — and that there are serious consequences for getting it wrong. Some of you know this because you are working your way through these consequences right now.
As Michael Hyatt says in the quote above, “We live in the aftermath of our choices”. There’s no way around out.
But there is good news that can come out of all of this. That good news is that we are in control of our lives and the decisions we make. If you are not happy with where you are right now, you can begin to change direction by simply changing the daily decisions you make.
Creating an entirely new life for yourself starts with owning — taking responsibility — for where you are right now. Once you’ve done that, the next step is to get yourself on the track of making better decisions — decisions that will serve you and move you forward toward the life you desire to create.
Your future is in your hands. The choices are yours. What direction will you take?
